這是無意間找到的一首我個人相當喜歡的老歌，
演唱者是Janis Ian,
最早聽到的是曾慶瑜演唱的版本，
收錄於『款款柔情』這張專輯（1989年發表）
擊汐找不到這首歌
所以改用原唱Janis Ian 在某一個演唱會上的live 版。
這首歌很適合冬天的晚上，
一個人戴上耳機，靜靜聆聽，
鋼琴的旋律沈緩優美，Janis Ian 的嗓音純淨，
讓我想起那年在澳洲維多莉亞省，
Mountain Buller 冬夜賞雪，
坐在雙層隔熱的窗前，凝視雪花緩緩飄落。
歌詞的意境總是讓我聯想到一個深情的女人，
發現情人另有所愛後，
與其強留無心人在身邊，不如放他自由;
有如放逐一隻帆船，任他航行於驚濤駭浪，
即便是多年後，或許他已滿面風霜，
或許，他早已忘記了她的寬容大量。
愛一個人，不是佔有，
不是以各種藉口，理由纏住對方至死方休，
這樣的意境，
跟許美靜的歌曲『遺憾』，是異曲同工,
僅以這首歌送給我最親愛的朋友們。
